Wild Flowers
Casa Delureni is uniquely positioned to make the most of the natural beauty of Transylvania. Within a 40km
radius of the Casa Delureni guest house you can visit mountains, high plateaux, forests, fast flowing rivers,
lakes, gently sloping meadows, flat windswept plains and lush marshlands.
The guest house itself is built on the edge of a wild flower meadow which is mown for cattle fodder twice a year.
The whole area has recently been designated a Wildlife Heritage Area.
Wild flowers gleam like jewels in the natural grasses and are so plentiful it is difficult to know where to step
to avoid treading on them. Most of the photographs for this section were taken in June but there are many different
varieties of flowers from April through to October. Butterflies and migratory birds are also plentiful.
There is so much for the naturalist to discover and transport can be arranged so that you can visit the different
locations and search for your chosen varieties.
Casa Delureni would like to invite naturalists to visit and to perhaps organise their own tours. Please contact Pat
on +44 (0)7867 577416 to discuss.
