Unless you are driving, you will arrive at Cluj Napoca in Romania or Budapest in Hungary by train or air. We will arrange taxis to meet you and take you directly to the Guest House (see 'Costs' for fares). From Budapest this is just under a 4 hour journey and passes through the Hungarian-Romanian border. The drivers will stop at service stations when required. Toilet facilities at the service stations are modern and clean.  From Cluj Napoca the journey takes approximately one and a half hours.  The same taxis will pick you up early on the morning of your departure to return you to the airports in time for your flight.  Each taxi can take three passengers.  If you are willing to share, your costs will be much reduced.  Please let us know (again, see the Costs page).

If you have extra days to spare you may wish to break your journey in Budapest or Cluj on your way out or back. There are many good hotels and spa hotels which can be recommended.

If you wish to visit the Casa Delureni guest house entirely independently of the tours, retreats and holidays, you will be made very welcome.

Car Hire: Budapest Airports - All major car hire firms can be found at both Budapest airports.  Previous customers have recommended contacting www.economycarhire.com before leaving the UK.  They arrange to pick up an Opel Astra at Budapest Airport which they took in to Romania and returned after eight days.  It cost them £220.  There were cheaper models available.
